Change of character.

this is the comic that the dark knight rises was based off of. Its somewhat like the movie. I think its

strange how a character from the comics are adapted to the screen. Bane who was created by chuck Dixon and Doug Moench originally was maid strong by a venom that was pumped into his bloodstream. their wore Hugh tubes that ran from the back of his head to his belt that would pump the venom. However in the movie he had a mask that helped him breath and gave him a voice that no one could understand but sounded scaryscary because we couldn't understand him. Its up to the viewer you like the representation of the movies character or not. I personally didn't because Idon't understand how he eats food if the mask covers his face. and if he cant eat food how is he that big. As to the why they changed bane so much for the movie I understand. Every movie is a risk and should be different according to the directors vision of what the movie should be. I guess they wanted to be different and couldn't didn't like the tubes, but I feel like what we got was not any better.

Batman V Superman

SPOILERS AHEAD
So I'm not going to talk about the comic in the picture because I wanted to talk about what Everyone is talking about, the new movie batman vs superman and its 40% on rotten tomatoes. it was a good movie and I think everyone is jumping on the band wagon and I wanted to get my thoughts out on it while its still fresh. I've seen this movie twice from two different perspectives and I think I have a more unbiased opinion  even thought that a very biased statement I just maid. first off I liked the movie. I think I liked it because i'm fanboying. sure their wore scenes that didn't make sense if you didn't read the comics. but I have been waiting years to see something like this, and it was visually spectacular. what more can you ask for. its a good start and can be a great finish. I think the roughest part that people are going to have the most problem accepting is the portrayal of Lex Luther. its a more different lex than we have ever scene. I've met business men before and they are your best friend to people they need and pitch a fit when they don't get their way which is what he did. he potrayed what I thought was a little kid trying to take over the world and from my perspective its was good. it may be too annoying for people but if you liked the social network I don't see why you won't like lexs character. the best part of the movie. The fight scenes and chemistry beteween batman, superman, and wonderwoman was amazing. when they fight its like the comic book has come to life.

Morals

This is when comics go deep. comics have been known to talk about everything. they rang from religious ideas to Syfy theory's that drive the story of a comic to make it more relate-able to the reader. in this issue the writers wanted to take on an issue that was close to home in the drug wars. The story was written by Dennis O'neil and Neal Adams. this is one of a 2 part series that revolves around green arrow and his sidekick speedy. it shows how speedy is affected by drugs and how his mistakes effect his relationship with green arrow. I like that they used one of the good guys because its realistic. This was a comic to help combat one of youths greatest problems at the time, Drugs! From a reader and a concerned citizens point of view its good to see writers take an interest in trying to make the world a better place. people read comics because it reminds them of their need for someone to save them. Comics have the opportunity to teach morals and Instill values that can teach youth to make good decisions.

Whos on the Cover.

This comic is the first appearance of abomination. Abomination was created by Stan Lee and Gil Kane. the artwork is some of the best you will ever see because it was done by Jack Kirby. Jack Kirby is great at creating new worlds and heroes with a pencil and one of the villains he helped create was the abomination. The abomination is one of the hulks strongest enemies. He was created by the same gamma radiation that gave the Hulk his strength. Even though this comic is the first appearance of the Abomination its not worth a lot because abomination is not featured on the cover.  Now this comic is graded by a company called the CGC. Someone will use the CGC if they have A comic they think is worth A lot of money and want to keep it protected. Its an expensive process to go threw. One of the comic shops in georgia called DR Nos comics really discourages getting your comic CGC because of the price. The comic shop won't give you a flat price. they will send it off and give you a price after the CGC is done grading your book. Its almost like their holding your comic for ransom now that the CGC has graded it and tells you what its worth.

The flying Nightwing

Teen Titans judas contract 44.
Dick grayson is one of the more popular robins of the DC universe. their have been five so far. Tim was the first to down the suit that maid him look like a ballerina. However in this comic he steps out of those dorky spandex and into a new cooler night wing uniform. This comic was written by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. I like it because it showed how dick has grown up and formed into a new hero. when your a comic reader things tend to get old with DC and Marvel heroes because their is a limit to what they can do. characters do not age the same with comics as they do in real time. Also no one dies so their isn't a lot of originality. So its good to see them add layers to a character by starting him off as one superhero and turning him into another one.

Coolness of Gambit

x-men annual 14

this is the first appearance of gambit. gambit is a Louisiana, card throwin, gumbo loving guy. His power is he can make something explode by touching it. Thats probably what makes him so popular with the ladies. Channing Tatum is going to be playing him in gambits very own movie. Its not surprising that the man who played magic mike is going to dawn a Cajun accent and throw cards while wielding a Donatello bow staff. Its hard to express why I think people love this character. Card throwing and magic are quickly becoming a thing of the past. Their are not many Lousiiana super heros, yet its his swagger that I think people gravitate to. the presteige of his presents as potrayed by the comics is what inspires people to believe. I've seen fans get tatoos of him and his playing cards because they like what he stands for which is

New best Villain

x factor 6

this comic is about the upcoming villian known as apocalypse. I baught this comic at a flee market for 35 dollars. when I went to show my friend at the comic store he showed me another copy they wore selling at dr nos for 200 dollars. our conditions wore the same condition but they wanted 165 more than what I baught it for. the reason for this is apocalypse is the new villian in the coming x man movie. this will drive the price up because a movie drives demand of the comic especialy if its a good movie. its not uncommon to find comics selling for one dollar one day to rise to 600 dollars just depending on the character and how good the movie was about them. this is the wonders of movies that can relate to its audience and drive the price up. apocalypse has the potential to be a great villian as well. his character is a conquorer who started in ancient egype. he borrows biblical ideas with his horseman, and he is being played by one of he best up and coming actors in the world Oscar Isaac.

Mind Games.

This is one of my more interesting comics because I picked it for story more than rarity. Their are no first appearances that make it a valuable comic. Its just that one memorable moment kind of like spider-monkey-baby that's a what wore they thinking moment. In the comic doctor octopus has convined aunt may to marry him.  I don't know if it was his beetles haircut, his inteligence, or that fact that he has four metal arms that maid aunt may said yes but for whatever reason she decides to marry him. This is a strategic moment for Dr.  Octopus because he now has spider-mans only relative. This is that game of thrones moment where Octopus has kidnapped ones of the heroes loved ones and spiderman is john snow waging war to get his aunt back. this comic dives into the phychy of what a hero must go through when being a hero puts the ones they love in danger.

Rise of the symbiote.

This is one of my favorite comics in the world. It is Marvel Secret Wars # 8 and it is the first appearance of the black suit spider man. The Black suit is a living organism called a symbiote which needs a host to survive. It latches on and forms a bond or relationship with its host.  Relationships  can be somewhat needy and dangerous and abusive and this symbiote is a 3 for 1 combo when it comes to these characteristics. It latched on to Peter Parker and started making him loose his mind and become more violent. Its greatest weakness is loud sounds so if you have a boom box you have the upper hand in this fight. Secret wars was written by Jim Shooter. The plot of the story is sort of like the hunger games. This character called the Beyonder gathers earths mightiest heroes and put them against earths mightiest villains on another planet called battle world. Who ever wins gets whatever they choose. After fighting in the battle peter tore his suit and used alien technology to created the venom suit.  The suit is able to enhance the ability of the user. It is the ultimate steroids. the suit has had many users such as Eddy Brock, Flash Thomson, and John Jonah Jamason. Venom is an antihero because typically the user is good but the suit is not so whomever wields it must mentally fight from becoming corrupted by its power and influence.

Man in the Swamp.

This Character was created by Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, and Gerry Conway in 1971. The Comic I am holding is his first series run written by Steve Gerber. like most comic characters his backstory is filled with tragedy. Dr. Sallis injected himself with a version of the super serum used to create Captain America to save himself from a terrorist group chasing him. After injecting himself he lost control of his car and crashed into a swamp and Man-Thing was born.  I like this character because he lives in Florida and a lot of weird people and weird things come out of Florida. He is a plantlike beast that larks in the swamps. I don't know how this comic maid it to print. I wonder if their was a focus group when they pitched the idea of man thing and everyone was too embarrassed to say "hey this might not be the greatest of titles." I thought it was just a product of the time but the funny thing is Marvel keeps using this character. More recently Man-Thing has shown up in Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and they gave him a growing pill that maid him Giant Man-Thing. this comic issn't worth that much because their issn't a lot of demand for it. comics from the 70ds tend to be easier to find and their price only jumps when a good movie about the character has come out, since their is none
